Donn Parris

Donn specializes in photographing news and events, people, features and sports for editorial,
corporate and advertising clients. He is an experienced and accomplished photojournalist with
clients in numerous fields, including sports, entertainment, publishing, education, financial services,
city-state government, retail, non-profits and many more.

Most often his work is in and around the San Gabriel valley area of Southern California where he
regularly shoots assignments for MaxPreps; a CBS Sports affiliate, and Game Face media; a
company that specializes in photographing participants in extreme obstacle course races. His
passion for photography keeps him busy year round.

Donn is currently completing his image review requirements to become a Certified Professional
Photographer (CPP). Certification is granted by the Professional Photographers of America, the
world’s largest non-profit association organized for professional photographers. A certification
from PPA speaks volumes to potential clients. Certified Photographers must recertify every three
years. They understand that education, training, and staying up to date on the latest industry
techniques and skills are extremely important.

Donn plans to introduce a summer program at the PVAA Art Place. This program invites local
high school and college students to participate in Summer Intensive Courses providing an
introduction to many areas of the arts. These courses include workshops, demonstrations and
lectures. It is the goal of PVAA Art Place to provide a place to explore, pursue and develop a
greater understanding of the arts.

Donn, his wife Sherri and their son Austin live in San Dimas, California.
